Cantiere Rossini has marked the start of its next phase of development at its superyacht refit facility in Pesaro, with construction beginning on the first phase of its new Crew Village.

Scheduled to open after summer 2027, this first phase will include a purpose-built large gymnasium and crew lounge, both with panoramic views over the marina.

The investment reflects a growing focus on the experience of captains and crew during refit periods, which can see them spending several months at the shipyard.

“Refit is about people as much as yachts,” said Stewart Parvin, CEO of Cantiere Rossini. “Captains and crew can spend months with us. We want to provide the right technical environment for the yacht, but also the right experience for the people behind it.”

Rossini’s Xperience Officers organise social activities in and out of the yard, helping crew connect and make the most of their time in Pesaro.

The investment also comes as Pesaro and the wider Marche region continue to develop their position within the refit sector.

Established for decades as one of the world’s leading yacht-building regions, the Marche offers a strong network of specialist contractors, suppliers and technical expertise. This ecosystem is increasingly relevant to refit projects, with yacht managers, technical representatives and project teams regularly travelling to Pesaro to follow works at the shipyard.

Over the past decade, Rossini itself has grown alongside this network, transforming its site in the Port of Pesaro into an international superyacht refit facility and bringing an increasingly international yachting community to the city.

Accessibility is improving too. Pesaro is within reach of three international airports, with direct connections to Barcelona and new routes to Amsterdam and Nice expected to further strengthen links with key European yachting hubs.

With further investment underway, an established technical ecosystem and increasing attention to the experience of those spending extended periods in the yard, Cantiere Rossini continues to strengthen Pesaro’s position as a refit destination on the Adriatic.
