Pesaro, 10th October 2017
Cantiere Rossini selected Cimolai Technology for the supply of a new 560 tons travel lift that will be delivered in Pesaro in Spring 2018.
The installation of this travel lift will conclude the first phase of the full modernization of the site of the former Cantiere Navale di Pesaro. This will include the creation of a new dock, for up to 60m yachts, built to high end marina standards unprecedented in any refit shipyard. The shipyard will comprise 15.000 square meters of a fully equipped hardstanding area and new offices.
“We always aim to be in the forefront” said Stewart Parvin, CEO of Cantiere Rossini “and it is for this reason that we chose to partner with Cimolai Technology for the supply of a travel lift that will be equipped with several special features requested by us. For example it will have a CCTV system displayed on iPad to improve safe operations. A ground breaking feature will be a generator fitted on the travel lift to obtain a seamless transfer from the water to the hardstanding area without any black out onboard.”
Roberto Cimolai, CEO of Cimolai Technology said: “To me and to my company, being chosen by Cantiere Rossini is a motive of a great honour and pride, particularly because the choice was based on the recognition of our capabilities and cutting-edge technical solutions. This new equipment represents another flagpole on the Italian coasts which see an ever more widespread presence of boat hoists under the brand Cimolai Technology”.

Cantiere Rossini in Pesaro, Italy, just completed the works for docks outfitting and beautifying. The works included the installation of new stainless steel pedestals with 125A and 250A shore power connections, fresh water and compressed air outlets and a built in piping system to collect grey and black water from the yachts. The 100 meter long dock is now fully operational to host visiting yachts in transit or at works.
This is the first step of a multimillion Euro investment to create in Pesaro a state of the art refit shipyard with a 600 tons travel lift, two paint sheds and more than 15.000 square meters of hardstanding area. The shipyard’s facility will be completed with crew accommodations including several apartments, a fully equipped gym, crew bar, etc.
Just a few days after having positioned the new ground tackles, three yachts arrived at Cantiere Rossini’s dock: M/Y Lady Michelle, Benetti 55m, M/Y Al-Bouchra, Benetti 40m and M/Y Alhena, Admiral 34m. These yachts decided to stop at Cantiere Rossini in Pesaro for maintenance works during the Summer season. All Captains and Crew were very satisfied with the friendly hospitality enjoyed at the shipyard and they also were pleasantly surprised in discovering how much the city of Pesaro has to offer !
